Sorry Charlie’s re-opens after ‘Structural Summer’

The plan for Sorry Charlie’s had always been to ‘go big.’ When they opened a few years back, the plans included space for private parties upstairs and ultimately a roof top bar overlooking Ellis Square.

It has taken some time to get that point, but the foundation is now in place to move on those original plans.

Sorry Charlie’s is now open for business after a massive structural enhancement project that will set them up for expansion and growth going forward.

Cosmetically, the ground floor will essentially look the same as it did before they shut down. Although a large raw bar has been added on the ground floor which, we are told, will allow them to expand their oyster selection year round.

Beyond that, there is a temporary wall that separates a stairwell and an elevator. Those will take eventually take guests up to private event space and eventually the roof top ‘Tiki Bar’ that is expected to open about the first of the year.

We are told the majority of the work that has been done during this phase was strengthening of the structure and the basement which.

Menu-wise, for now is the same as it ever was at Sorry Charlie’s save for the expanded oyster selection.
