Believe it or not, one of 2023s most highly anticipated new offerings on the Savannah food scene was a burger. It has now arrived and it’s pretty good.

Crispi is the name of a permanently parked burger ‘trailer’, if you will, parked out in from of Two Tides Brewing Company in Savannah’s Starland District. The brewery has been around for years, but was lacking in the food department. As in, there wasn’t any. This smash burger concept has been in the works for a couple of years. It’s now here.

The double features twin 3.5 oz beef patties, smashed and served with a special sauce onion and pickle. You know the drill. You’ve had a classic smash burger before. If you haven’t, you need to . These are delicious.

There is more to the menu than burgers. There’s a ‘crispi dog’ which features a hot dog wrapped in crispi burnt cheese and topped with crispy onions, scallions and a special sauce. They are a mouthful.

There are a few options for vegetarians as well, plus soft drinks.

Seating on the sidewalk is limited. But guests are welcome to grab some grub and come sit inside one of their two taprooms. Either their main Two Tides Taproom up a flight of stairs, or in SMOL, their tiny watering hole around the side of the building on DeSoto Street. Either way, you will eat it and like it.

Their hours vary, so look them up ahead of time on social media. But generally if the taprooms are open, then the burgers are getting smashed.
