Blend’s, a locally owned coffee shop at the corner of Broughton and Drayton Streets in the heart of downtown Savannah, has announced Sunday July 30th was their last day serving the community. The announcement was made via social media.
Reached by phone, Blends President Javier Carro said he wasn’t in a position to speak extensively on the reasons why the artisan coffee shop closed, simply saying “Many factors took us to the difficult situation of closing the store.”
The news comes in the wake of several Summertime closings across downtown Savannah including Folklore, Burritos Pantano, and The Grey Market. Those announcements coupled with moves away from downtown by City Market’s The Bar Bar and Bernie’s Oyster House ,contribute to an ever-evolving look for downtown Savannah.
