b. Matthew’s Eatery is rounding out the last month of 2020 on a high note, with a delicious new menu and a fresh new look and updated hours. Those who have been past the corner of Habersham and Bay Streets lately may have noticed a fresh face for b. Matthew’s Eatery. A brand-new logo, complete with new outdoor signage, signal the updates inside and the hope everyone at parent company, The Gaslight Group, has for the quickly approaching new year.
Chef Brandon and his team have created a delicious new menu with several new appetizer, brunch and entrée dishes that fit perfectly into the beautifully approachable, Savannah centric persona that b. Matthew’s is known for. The seasonal bruschetta features butternut squash, bleu cheese, candied pecans, dried cranberries and caramel sauce. The Beet & Grapefruit salad spotlights fall’s best produce garnished with goat cheese, blackened pumpkin seeds and a rosemary vinaigrette dressing.
Brunch standouts include the Turkey Apple & Brie Omelette featuring b. Matthew’s house-made turkey apple sausage. The Hot Brown Toast with sourdough, sliced turkey, bacon, mornay sauce and cherry heirloom tomatoes is a Kentucky staple worthy of a Georgia debut.
Of the new Entrees, special mention goes to a new spin on their beloved Lamb as well as a Southern Ratatouille and the fan favorite Pulled Pork Mac n Cheese made with pepperjack cheese and topped with southern collard greens. Guests seeking gluten free and vegetarian options will be pleased to see several entries in both categories available on this new menu.
