It’s back.
You can add another great week to the list of events that is returning in 2021 after a year off last year. It’s the return of Restaurant Week presented by Eat It and Like It.
The 9 day event will be held August 20th through the 29th as part of the Gourmet Seafood and Spirits Festival at various locations across Savannah.
The Restaurant Week component of the culinary celebration with be largely the same as it has ever been, but with a few new twists added. For example, participating restaurants will be offered the opportunity to compete for votes a ‘People’s Choice’ vote during the week for creative cocktails.
Also different this year, restaurants will be asked to choose a price point for their Prix Fixe menu. Three courses for either $30, $35 OR $40. Which one they choose is entirely up to the participant.
Restaurants are signing on practically as we speak. We have several on board already and expect to announce our participants to date immediately following the 4th of July weekend. That will give everyone plenty of time to give it some thought and make some plans.
Also, we should mention there won’t be a ‘2nd’ Restaurant Week like we saw a couple of years ago. This will be the only one and we are excited about having a number of local media partners on board.
Menus won’t be available to look at until mid-August. Roughly 2 weeks out. But the only place you will find them is here.
We are thrilled to be partnering with the Gourmet Seafood and Spirits Festival. It is a lot of fun and equally as important raises a ton of money for several area charities. That’s a huge part of it.
So, mark your calendars. August 20-29th. The return of Restaurant Week. Gourmet Seafood and Spirits Festival will be August 22nd-28th. More details to come.
