THE CUISINE:
If you are looking for classic Southern cuisine for brunch, then Vic’s is your absolute, hands down, straight out of Gone with the Wind option. The fact that its a buffet shouldn’t deter you. Vic’s is legit.
THE MOOD:
Vic’s on the River is one of Savannah’s best traditional Southern restaurants. The vibe is classic, with the piano near the bar slowly grooving to something that will transport you to a long era in the South of horse drawn buggies gas power street lamps.
BEST FOR:
Classic Savannah.
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE:
The food is very good. The scene in an historic old Riverfront warehouse beautifully restored is fantastic. Old school Savannah. Price is reasonable at $25 pp plus $13 for bottomless mimosas.
WHAT YOU WON’T:
Somewhat limited buffet menu. Omelette station helps, but there isn’t a ton of variety.
