THE CUISINE:
Brought to you by the same folks behind Savannah’s Uber-popular The Collins Quarter, The Fitzroy is a quieter, darker version of the Aussie Gastropub. Ricotta Hotcakes, Avocado Toasts, Chicken Schnitzel, a great burger and more.
THE MOOD:
Hidden on a side street about 200 feet from one of Savannah’s main drags (Bay Street) The Fitzroy is a great spot for quality eats and cocktails. Once upon a time, the bar sat in a London train station before it was brought here and has now been impeccably restored.
BEST FOR:
Brunch. In the truest sense. Burgers and ‘lunch’ food or eggs and breakfast food. Try the Moroccan Scramble. Merguez sausage, chick peas, sweet Thai chilis, avocado and cilantro. One of my favorite dishes in the city.
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE:
The Fitzroy is a beautiful space with a solid cocktail program and great eats.
WHAT YOU WON’T:
Prices are fair, but if you aren’t careful, cocktails and food will add you up real quick.
