Review: Supper Club Dinner at Myrtle and Rose Rooftop
Some dinners just stick with you—and this one might’ve jumped near the top of the list.
Our Eat It and Like It Supper Club, now in year three, gathered for a spring dinner that was originally planned for the rooftop at Myrtle & Rose at the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. Mother Nature had other ideas, though, and a last-minute storm forced us inside. As it turns out, that didn’t matter one bit.
Chef and team delivered a multi-course experience pulled from their new spring menu, and it hit from the very first bite. A bright, perfectly balanced Peruvian-style ceviche got things rolling, followed by a strawberry burrata salad that had plenty to like. Then came the scallops—beautifully seared, paired with peas, bacon, and just a touch of mint that brought it all together.
The main course, butter chicken meatballs, was rich, comforting and a crowd favorite. But the knockout punch? Dessert. A strawberry almond tart with rhubarb jam and vanilla gelato that, quite honestly, stole the show.
If you want the full breakdown, course-by-course, you can hear the entire detailed review on the podcast linked above.
