Podcast: Savannah’s Music scene with Mary Dugas
Mary Dugas has enjoyed a rich and colorful career in the music industry. Her resume includes positions as a member of the Management Team for the Gregg Allman Estate. She previously served as the Director of Operations and Artist Management for Brown Cat, Inc./Widespread Panic in Athens, Ga. She is currently the Chair of the Savannah Music Festival’s Board of Directors.
She knows the music business. Equally as important, she believes Savannah’s music scene needs a way to bring musicians together to not only help those artists as individuals, but also help Savannah making a bigger impression with is day to day music scene.
Mary has created the Savannah Music Collective and describes it this way:
“The concept of uniting the entire Savannah music community for collaboration, professional development, and artist support is fantastic. I’m excited to create an environment where everyone is welcome and we can unlock the full potential of local talent and create a thriving, music scene for all of Savannah to enjoy.“
Mary joins Jesse to talk about the new project and also her favorite spots to eat in and around Savannah.
