Plant-Based Eats at The Heritage? Try this…

I have to share a very refreshing and often overlooked concession at the RBC Heritage golf tournament… the shaker salad!
Its (very) official name is the “Plant Based Protein Shaker Salad” and it’s packed with veggies including kale, edamame and shaved sprouts. The protein is found in chickpeas, quinoa and roasted almonds. Finally, dried cranberries, feta cheese and La Flora Dressing round out this tasty cup of healthiness.
This menu option is prepared gluten free which is a great option for the non sandwich eaters at The Heritage. It’s a welcomed addition the eats on the course. I was at The Masters last week and all they offered was fresh cut fruit.
This year, you can add on a small cup of chilled chicken salad to your shaker to boost up your protein intake. Or if you’re like me, you can grab some potato chips and eat the chicken salad like a dip after your salad is finished!
If you’re at The Heritage this week, bend your knees by the sandwich fridge to look down for this Shaker Salad. Be sure to give it a good shake before opening to mix up all the ingredients. It will help cool you off, fill you up and give your hand a break from holding a beer!
What to order: Plant Based Shaker Salad- $9 Add Chicken Salad- $4 Potato Chips- $2 Happy Heritage!
