2020 has been a rough year for many people, but one Savannah pizza place is making giving back a priority.
Midtown Pizza co-owner, Jerome Davis, wants to everyone to know their location in Savannah’s Medical Arts Center is a neighborhood pizza place.
A key part of that is making sure the neighborhood stays fed with a Holiday Pizza Drive.
Through New Year’s Eve, you can buy a 14-inch pizza or lunch special. You will then have the option to give two 14-inch pizzas to a family of Midtown Pizza’s choice or you can give the pizza donation to a local nonprofit selected by Midtown Pizza.
The pizzeria is also feeding kids who depend on school lunches through January 5th.
“The goal was just to help supplement school lunches. A lot of people in the surrounding neighborhood, they depend on the school lunches,” said Jerome.
“With it kind of being essentially virtual for most of the year, it’s been a huge void, so our goals have been able to give as well as we can. We thought it would be a good idea to allow any 10-year-older and under to come in during lunchtime and grab two slices and a drink on us.”
