Back in March and April, many of us took up new hobbies like gardening or baking our own bread. Now there’s another hobby you can try: homebrewing your own beer.
Savannah Brewer’s League, Coastal Empire Beer Co., and Split Fin Brewing are teaming up to offer some guidance on Saturday for Learn to Homebrew Day.
Learn to Homebrew Day was started in 1999 by the American Homebrewers Association. The idea was to promote the hobby, but this will also give you a better appreciation of what it takes to create that Savannah Brown Ale or any of the other locally brewed beers and ciders you enjoy.
Savannah brewing enthusiasts can head over to Coastal Empire Beer Co. this Saturday, November 7, from noon to 5 p.m. to learn more about starting their own homebrew. More details are posted on the Facebook event page.
