Buried among all of the ancient wisdom you can find scratched out in caves in some far off land, if you look hard enough you will find one of the most important.

“You can never have too much ice cream.”

While I am guessing that the previous statement is untrue, it is more than clear that Stratton Leopold-at the very least-agrees with it.

Why else would he be announcing a Whitemarsh Island location of his ice cream empire? Yet, that’s just what he did.

Leopold’s announced Wednesday via social media that they will be opening a new location for Leopold’s Ice Cream at 107 Charlotte Road on Whitemarsh Island. That’s just off of Highway 80 in the strip mall adjacent to the Whitemarsh Island Publix.

The build out is underway and they are promising an experience similar to what you will find at their location on Broughton Street in Downtown Savannah. If what we’ve been told about how much history Leopold’s has tucked away in storage is true, then I think this new location will be beautiful.

This will be Leopold’s 4th location to go along with their Broughton Street space and 2 others at Savannah International Airport.

The only question remaining is when? We’ve reached out to Stratton in hopes of getting a better idea. We’ll keep you posted.
