Leopold’s Celebrates 100 years

The Birthday Cake ice cream has been sprinkled with rainbow sprinkles, the face painters have their brushes in hand and the Kids Zone is stocked with free family fun. That can only mean one thing … Birthday Block Party time at Leopold’s Ice Cream! The fun starts at 11am as the Windsor Forest High School Marching Knights and a very special Grand Marshal step us off into our BIG event!

We’re celebrating 100 YEARS of Tasty Memories and it just won’t be the same without you there! Join us at 212 East Broughton Street for music, games, dancing in the street, our largest I Pledge for Ice Cream event of the year and an exposition by former Harlem Globetrotter, Gator Rivers! You’ll also have the chance to win a year of free ice cream by submitting your best Leopold’s birthday photos to social media with the hashtag #leopolds100 compliments of Kole Management Company

We’ve added some amazing entertainment this year!  Be sure to bring your dancin’ shoes because The Fabulous Equinox Orchestra will be keeping the street jumping from 3-7pm!  Gator Rivers, former Harlem Globetrotter player and coach, will be showing off his ball handling skills and invites kids of all ages to learn a fun trick or two during his basketball clinic at 2:15pm.
Don’t forget to bring along your favorite furry friends.  Oliver Bentleys will be back this year with their Puppy Oasis! They’ll have free Doggie Sundaes featuring Leopold’s Vegan Vanilla ice cream & Oliver Bentley’s Dog Biscuits, puppy pools to keep your pal cool, doggie tattoos & even a puppy photo booth complete with costumes!

The party starts at 11am and continues until 7pm. Free and fun for the entire (including furry members) family!

Leopold’s Ice Cream was founded in Savannah, Georgia in 1919 by three brothers from Greece.  Peter, Basil and George passed their tradition of making super premium ice cream one batch at a time down to Peter’s youngest son, Stratton.  Stratton and his wife Mary own and operate Leopold’s today.  Their commitment to arts and education in the community is second only to their commitment to creating the highest quality ice cream possible in a fun, family environment.
