Hilton Head Shrimp Festival is Saturday
One of most popular culinary events of the year returns to the Sea Pines Resort on Saturday. It’s the Hilton Head Island Shrimp Festival and it is back for another afternoon of fun this weekend at Harbortown on the island.
Twelve to fifteen chefs from the across the region will be participating in this annual event offering some of the most creative dishes you might ever see using shrimp. There is judging, so it is a friendly competition. Every chef in attendance is there to put his best foot forward, which means some unbelievable bites to eat. Your ticket includes unlimited samples from all chefs (while supplies last).
In addition, you can expect over a dozen breweries (16 this year) on hand, each offering samples of a handful of selections of the brews. Your ticket includes a souvenir glass for samples.
The scene is among the best in the area. The green adjacent to the yacht basin at Harbortown, its iconic lighthouse in the distance.
A lot of festivals out there are large and therefore difficult to navigate. The Shrimp Festival is small by design and offers a boutique experience. Tickets for adults are $70 which, once again, offer unlimited tastings and sips of beers. Non alcoholic tickets are available for $50. This event has sold out every year since it started in 2019. This year will be no different.
