Forsyth Farmers’ Market to Host 2025 Family Feast

Forsyth Farmers’ Market – a community-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local farmers and expanding access to fresh, affordable food – is pleased to host the 2025 Forsyth Farmers’ Market Family Feast at the Old Dairy Farm, located at 2500 Tennessee Ave., on Sunday, May 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. All proceeds from this annual springtime celebration of food, music and community will support Forsyth Farmers’ Market community outreach programs, events and youth education initiatives.

This family-friendly celebration, which is open to the public, will feature plenty of BBQ, sides, vegetarian and vegan options, desserts and beverages plus live entertainment and hands-on activities for kids of all ages. Formerly known as the Farm Picnic, the Family Feast serves as a delicious tribute to Savannah’s rich culinary history. Attendees are invited to pack a picnic blanket and lawn chairs to help support local farmers, restaurants, small businesses and the city’s vibrant local food scene.

“Our annual Family Feast provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy delicious casual bites from some of Savannah’s favorite eateries while supporting local farmers and celebrating the power of community,” said Debi Fowler, Executive Director of Forsyth Farmers’ Market. “We warmly invite everyone to bring their picnic blankets and chairs and to join us for family-friendly fun and great food.”

Forsyth Farmers’ Market organizes South Georgia’s largest farmers’ market and presents year-round community outreach programs designed to increase food access and improve community health, including 912 Food Farmacy and Farm Truck 912.

“Food has the power to bring us together and to uplift the Savannah community,” Fowler explained. “We invite Savannah residents to learn more about local initiatives that promote food access, sustainability and health equity in their own backyard.”
