Eat It and Like It’s Fried Chicken and Champagne Dinner returns to Hilton Head Island

In the, count them, 9 years we’ve been hosting our annual Fried Chicken and Champagne dinners across the region, we’ve taken on a lot of suggestions and input from you, our guests. A lot of the initial input was to make the dinners larger-a direct response to the fact that they sell out so quickly. We weren’t interested in that. Another suggestion we heard that we thought we’d consider down the road was to host the special dinners more than once a year.

I think we’ve reached the point where we are comfortable doing so, and we are going to start on Hilton Head Island.

Of course, no one in their right mind would attempt something like that in the midst of the busy summer season, so we are waiting until things quiet down around here a little bit and have made plans for September.

We are very excited to share that our Eat It and Like It Fried Chicken and Champagne Dinner will return to the island on Wednesday, September 24th at 6:00pm at Skillets Cafe and Grill at Coligny Plaza.

Skillets owner Amie Baima is not only a friend but, but an original attendee of our dinner in Savannah many many years ago. She’s been asking me for almost as long to bring the event to her restaurant. We gave it a few years for our brand to become a little more established on the island and here we are, and thrilled to be.

For those that aren’t familiar with the event, it features one of the best classic pairings in comfort food. Fried Chicken and bubbles. At our dinners, we feature unlimited amounts of both to enjoy, plus some classic Southern sides. Yes, all you can eat fried chicken and sides, plus all you care to consume champagne, prosecco and cava to go along with it….responsibly, of course.

In almost a decade now, the event has been sold out every year we’ve held it, except for last year in Savannah, when 2 seats went unsold. Yes, it is that popular, and it is that much fun.

We are announcing the event now because-believe it or not-we are just about 90 days away from it and want to make sure we have enough time to fill up the room. As such, we are offering an Early Bird price of $70 per person plus tax and gratuity. After July 24th, the price will go up. How high hasn’t been determined yet. Any way you slice it, however, it’s a great deal.

Find access to tickets here. Any questions about the event, please email us at tips@eatitandlikeit.com
