Food & Wine Magazine recently released its list of the best ice cream shops in every state.
The number one pick for Georgia is a newcomer. Cremalosa opened in February of last year.
The shop, owned by food writer Meredith Ford, offers gelato and sorbets in seasonal flavors with farm-fresh ingredients. But it also offers a selection of boozy shakes and frozen cocktails.

“I’m so thrilled and honored to be on Food & Wine’s list,” says Ford.
“It’s a dream come true, and we’re excited about the season with the many local summer fruits we have to mix and match for new flavors. Our peaches are from Fort Valley, Georgia, plus we have local blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Figs are coming soon!”
