“Is that the same one from Charleston!?” is the question I’ve been asked no less than 40 times in the last 6 months whenever Savannah’s-at the time under construction-Poe’s Tavern began its build out in downtown Savannah.

I think a 4th location makes it fair to refer to an eatery as a ‘regional chain’ no? The original, and beloved, location is on Sullivan’s Island just outside of Charleston. They have additional spots in Wilmington, North Carolina and Atlantic Beach, Florida, just outside of Jacksonville.
They are now officially open on MLK, Jr Blvd in Savannah at Indian Street. Just steps away from the JW Marriott and its Plant Riverside District.
The menu features primarily burgers with beef, turkey and veggie burger options. There are a couple of salads and some starters, but that’s about it.
They feature a large outdoor eating area with televisions which will undoubtedly be popular during ‘sportsing’ seasons.
