Bluffton Mayfest Returns Saturday

One of Bluffton’s favorite spring traditions is back this weekend, and yes, it is absolutely worth circling on your calendar.

Bluffton Mayfest 2026 returns Saturday, May 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Historic Downtown Bluffton, bringing another full day of food, music, art, people-watching and small-town Lowcountry charm. Also known as the Bluffton Village Festival, Mayfest has long been one of those events that feels like a community reunion with a whole lot of visitors mixed in. Admission is free, which certainly does not hurt.

The festival is coordinated by the Rotary Club of Bluffton and will feature more than 130 artists and food vendors spread throughout Old Town. Expect local and regional arts and crafts, plenty to eat, live music, and the kind of laid-back Bluffton energy that has made this event one of the area’s signature gatherings.

There will also be two longtime Mayfest favorites: the Ugly Dog Contest and the pie-eating contest. In other words, come for the food and art, but stay for the messy fun and the dogs who may or may not understand they are competing for anything.

A few practical notes: comfortable shoes are a very good idea, as is sunscreen. Friendly dogs are welcome, but they need to stay on a leash. Parking will be available at M.C. Riley and Red Cedar Elementary, with shuttle service planned for the event. (Explore Beaufort SC)
