Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest Turns 18
The Baytowne Wharf Beer Fest is back for year 18, and it runs two days this time: October 16–17 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin.
Friday night from 6 to 8 is the Baytowne Backyard Bash in the Events Plaza. Think tailgate: football on the big screen, cold beer, bourbon, food, and bonfires. No parking lot required.
Saturday is the main event. VIP ticket holders get in at 1, and the Grand Craft Beer Tasting runs from 2 to 5. You’ll have more than 100 domestic and international craft beers to work through, and brewery reps will be there to talk lagers, ales, and whatever else you want to ask about. Two new tasting areas are worth finding. Beer From Around Here puts local breweries up front, and Import Lane covers the rest of the world. Seltzer Lane is back for anyone skipping the hops, and there are bourbon tastings and food pairings too. The Typos handle the music.
Part of the proceeds goes to Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and the Sandestin Foundation for Kids, so every pour helps a local cause.
This is a 21-and-up event.
