American Legion Hall

Maybe the most overlooked dive in Savannah. But plenty popular with locals, especially industry employees after a long shit for one reason: parking is convenient. Oh! And the drinks are cheap.

It doesn’t hurt that Betty Bombers, a World War II-themed burger place is located next to the bar inside the Legion. You can order your food, and then go wait for it at the bar and eat it there.

The Legion (technically the Post 135 Lounge, though no one calls it that) also features a small porch for outside seating (and smoking), and like any proper dive bar, there is also a pool table.

They are cash only. With an ATM conveniently located inside.

Closest Eats: Betty Bombers is in the same building 25 feet away. One block up, some of Savannah’s best sandwiches (and a great bar in itself) is at The Black Rabbit.  If you are feeling healthy, during the day Bright Day Natural Foods has sandwiches and grab and gon salads as well. They are literally next door with a take-out window during the day.
