Savannah bars ring in the New Year

After two very strange years, you deserve to treat yourself to a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration. If that means going out, there are plenty of Savannah bars offering extended hours and special ways to say goodbye to 2021 and welcome 2022.

  • Rocks on the Roof – The rooftop bar at The Bohemian Hotel Savannah Riverfront is hosting a masquerade from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The Second Annual Cirque du Masquerade Celebration includes a champagne toast at midnight, late night hors d’oeuvres, Bohemian Punch, and party favors. Tickets are $60 and can be found here.
  • Repeal 33 – Enjoy an elevated chef’s tasting menu, drink specials, and champagne at midnight during the Downtown Countdown. No special tickets required but reservations are encouraged.
  • The Lost Square – Alida’s rooftop bar gives you a chance to Sparkle & Shine into 2022. They will have three distinct chef food stations and sweet treats as well as a midnight champagne toast. Tickets are $200 and can be purchased here.
  • Bar Julian – The rooftop bar for Thompson Savannah offers a great view of the fireworks while also offering a glass of champagne, two cocktail tickets, hors d’oeuvres and a midnight toast. Tickets are $165 and can be purchased here.
  • Peregrin – Head to the Perry Lane Hotel for the New Year’s Rooftop Party featuring specialty cocktails. No tickets or reservations required.
  • Electric Moon at Plant Riverside – The “GLO Side of the Moon 2022” New Year’s Eve party at Electric Moon Skytop Lounge is from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. The party is open to the public, but tickets are $25 at the door. For a VIP table, email Maurice Moreno at Maurice.Moreno@kesslercollection.com.
  • Plant Riverside District – While the hotel offers plenty of bar options as well as a few rooftop bars, the Salzburg Ballroom will be hosting an exclusive event on New Year’s Eve that includes a four-course gourmet dinner, rare selections from the Veuve Clicquot collection, and a champagne toast at midnight with a view of the fireworks from a a private terrace. This event will run you $750 a person and tickets can be purchased here.

  • Two Tides Brewing Company – And if you’ve still got a little energy on New Year’s Day, Two Tides is hosting it’s fourth annual oyster roast from 1 to 5 p.m. Reservations are $20 and can be made here.

2021 has given us plenty of fun and new food and drink options in Savannah, and we hope New Year’s Eve offers a preview of what we can look forward to in 2022.
