Savannah’s Best BBQ Headed to Bluffton

Two things I think we can agree are certainties when it comes to BBQ.

What constitutes great BBQ is unbelievably subjective AND the best of the best can be hard to find.

Well now, Bluffton’s BBQ scene is in luck because you are about to get a taste of some of Savannah’s best fairly regularly.

Slow Fire BBQ, a Savannah-based food truck serving what is widely regarded as Savannah’s best, will be setting up shop in Bluffton during the month of December. You will find them parked at Lot 9 Brewing Company every Saturday next month.

Slow Fire BBQ shot out of a cannon onto Savannah’s BBQ scene a few years back serving authentic Texas style Brisket, Pulled Pork, Homemade Sausage, Pork Belly and Burnt Ends as well as other Southern staples. Terrance Williams is a seasoned chef who decided one day years ago that he was going to move to Texas and get into the BBQ game.

He returned to Savannah and started up the Slow Fire BBQ, a converted school bus that draws crowds wherever they are. They have picked up a few awards along the way, including Southern Living Magazine’s Top 20 New BBQ joints in 2024. You can see our 3 minute feature on Slow Fire BBQ here.

I hope you get the picture. This is very much the real deal. If you live in Greater Bluffton or Hilton Head and regularly crave those flavors from deep in the heart of Texas, you are in for a treat with this. You should make some time to Eat It and Like It.
