It would have been easy to throw up a graphic on social media saying we are hopeful and call it a day, but that wouldn’t exactly tell you the entire story. However short it may be.
Five years ago, we started our annual winter love fest with fried chicken and champagne and haven’t looked back. Certainly others in the market have developed their own similar concepts here and there, but we were first and truth be told, we are damn proud of that.
2021 is a milestone year for us. Eat It and Like It has been officially on the scene for 10 years. As I mentioned, half of those have included our annual event. This year was supposed to be a huge celebration. Frankly, we are holding out hope that it still will be.
We have had several discussions both here in Savannah and on Hilton Head Island about doing our Fried Chicken events, but it will have to wait. We’ve gotten several emails asking about it and the short answer is it will happen. We just aren’t certain when.
Personally? I’d love to do it in the Spring. We may, however, need to wait until Summer or Fall. Have no fear when we do roll it out it will be as great as it has ever been.
I think you know we will let you know when we have news to share.
