Fried Chicken & Champagne Night – Savannah

You knew it would be back didn’t you? If you doubted? Shame on you.

Two weeks ago, we announced our first ever Fried Chicken and Champagne night at Lucky Rooster Kitchen and Bar on Hilton Head Island. The excitement for that great night has been flattering, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say we got a handful of emails from folks asking about our Fried Chicken Night in Savannah.

I assured them all an announcement was coming and that is most certainly the case. Tonight.

Eat It and Like It’s 4th annual Fried Chicken and Champagne night is coming January 16th to The Alida Hotel on the Western end of River Street. More on that in a minute.

For those that aren’t familiar with the concept, we learned about the pairing 5-6 years ago. When you talking about wine pairings, it just so happens the the best ‘wine’ to pair with fried chicken is….yup. Champagne.

We knew the idea would be a perfect fit for our friends in Savannah. It was at that point we set out to find a great location to throw a party. It took us almost a year to line everything up, but now they are one of our most popular events. IF IF IF you judge by how quickly tickets sell out.

Last year our 1st of two nights sold out in 10 days. I’ve got a feeling it is going to be similar this time around as well. First, the details:

One night. Unlimited fried chicken and bottomless bubbles for a great price. Of course, there will be a few other nibbles to enjoy but what more do you need when you have a beautiful restaurant and some great food and drink? Not much, right?

A few words about our latest venue.

Chef Jason Starnes is new to Savannah and Rhett. He spent the last 15 years in the Atlanta market. He’s very excited to welcome everyone to his restaurant. We’ve enjoyed more than a few bites at Rhett and Chef Jason’s approach is solid ‘upscale Southern.’ We think you will absolutely Eat It and Like It. Rhett happens to be one of Savannah’s most beautiful restaurants. The F&B staff is exceptional. Dinner at Rhett always includes 2 hours free valet parking.

A couple of items for those of you who have joined us in the past and for those who would like to join in this time around. For your information.

**The last 2 years we have added a 2nd night to our line up. We want to make it as clear as possible this time around that there will NOT be a 2nd night added in 2020. The primary reason for that is the addition of our Fried Chicken and Champagne night on Hilton Head Island at Lucky Rooster Kitchen and Bar. The Low Country now has more options, so we aren’t going to add a 2nd night.

There are 50 seats for this year’s event. Once they are gone, they are gone.

**Second, the price of a ticket is $65 per person plus gratuity and tax. However, because of a glitch with out some new software we’ve been forced to use, we cannot itemize the gratuity. Tickets will pop up as $76.00. That price INCLUDES 18% gratuity. Only sales tax will be added at check out. It was the only way we could make it work for now.

Sometimes I hate technology.

That’s the scoop. If history is any indicator, this event will be sold out by next weekend. If you are thinking about joining us, call your friends, get on the same page and jump in the pool.

I can’t call this my favorite Eat It and Like It event of the year, because they are all my children, but this one is pretty special.

    Hi, trying to find out where that asain or Mongolian dish/ soup is….asain chef was being interviewed. Coconut base, thin rice noodles, chicken, shimp. It is a soup.. I want to go try it
