Whiskey Wine and Wildlife 2018 – Final lineup announced

The premiere food festival event along Georgia’s coast is just a few weeks away. This week final line up and ticket prices were released. Keep in mind, you can get in on early bird pricing through January 31st. Come for a couple of days, or a great day trip. Only an hour and 15 minutes from downtown Savannah.

Final Schedule

Thursday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m. | W3 Wine, Dinner & Launch Party | The Reserve at the Westin
The official kick-off will serve up a gourmet multi-course dinner crafted by guest chef Tom Gray, Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails and Town Hall Restaurants, Jacksonville, FL; guest chef Raj Gupta, The Westin Halifax, Nova Scotia; The Westin Jekyll Island Executive Chef, Skipp Worden, along with wine pairings for each course, featuring selections from Master Sommelier, Michael McNeill.
Tickets: $120 per person; $110 advance tickets available through 1/31/18.

Friday, February 9 at 11 a.m. | W3 Wine Cruise w/ Captain Phillip | Jekyll Island Historic Wharf
The popular two-hour wine cruise excursion will take you on a tour of Jekyll Island like you’ve never seen before. Listen to Captain Phillip’s local insight while sampling wines and light bites.
Tickets: $50 per person.

Friday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. | W3 Master Class Pours | The Westin presented by Atlanta Magazine
Head back to school-well, beverage school-with 4 educational seminars and tastings led by a panel of beverage experts.
Class 1, 1 p.m.: Master Sommelier Michael McNeil will be showcasing exquisite wine samples for you to taste and will be answering all of your grape-growin’ questions.
Class 2, 2 p.m.: Brews and burgers: the dynamic duo. Enjoy a craft brew selection from Savannah’s own Kevin Ryan, Service Brewing Co., and burgers from chef David Carrier, Certified Burgers & Beverage.
Class 3, 3 p.m.: Ste Michelle Wine Estates and Executive Chef, Skip Worden, are crafting the perfect afternoon kickback of refined wine varietals served alongside innovative dishes.
Class 4, 4 p.m.: To wrap up the afternoon, the Brown Forman Family will be pouring the smoky flavors of their Reserve Bourbon Whiskey and BenRiach Scotch Whisky and answering all your whiskey wonderings.
Tickets: Limited availability, $40 per person/class; $36 per person/class or $125 per person/all classes advance tickets available through 1/31/18.

Friday, Feb. 9 6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. | Whiskey Inspired | The Westin Hotel Takeover & Oceanfront Lawn
Whiskey is the star of the show at this evening’s oceanfront event. Make the rounds at whiskey, wine, beer, and food booths serving up whiskey-themed creations made by some of the South’s leading chefs. A silent and live auction with 6-8 luxury items will benefit the Jekyll Island Foundation at 8 p.m.
Wine Pull is an opportunity to pull a numbered cork for a wide variety of wines ranging from $15-$100+ in value; $25 per cork or $40 for two corks.
Whiskey Pull is an opportunity to pull a numbered for a wide variety of whiskeys ranging from $25-$100+ in value; $30 per cork or $50 for two corks.
Tickets: $90 per person; $80 per person advance tickets available through 1/31/18.

Saturday, Feb.10 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.| Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife – W3 | Beach Village & Village Green
The main event will combine our three Ws and more for the perfect island afternoon. Enjoy the soulful sounds of Laiken Love & Fellowship of Love oceanfront, while tasting culinary delights and a variety of beverage in a souvenir Glencairn whisky glass. It’s a full afternoon of stages with cooking and wildlife demonstrations, and music. The silent auction features great packages, with art, travel, and food and drink packages that benefit the Jekyll Island Foundation.
VIP Lounge, presented by Golden Isles Magazine: Located on the Westin’s Rooftop & The Reserve Restaurant overlooking the Village Green. Enjoy a fully catered experience with private bars and a relaxing patio space to take a break from the crowds.
Woodford Reserve Cocktail Challenge: Vote for your favorite bartender-crafted cocktail, there can only be one People’s Choice winner!
Georgia Grown Village: A collection of Georgia’s finest home grown and home-made products and exhibitors – all made, grown or manufactured in Georgia.
BBQ Alley: Taste why southern BBQ is the best BBQ by cruising down shops set up by the South’s most revered pitmasters, grill masters, and chefs including: Bryan Furman of B’s Cracklin’ BBQ in Atlanta and Savannah; Griffin Bufkin, Harrison Sapp and John Helfrich of Southern Soul Barbecue in St. Simons; Orchid Paulmeier, One Hot Mama’s in Hilton Head; Kenny Gilbert of Gilbert’s Underground Kitchen, Gilbert’s Social, Gilbert’s Southern Kitchen & Bar and Gilbert’s Hot Chicken, Fish & Shrimp.

Sunday, Feb. 11 at 12: 15 p.m. | W3 Sunday Brunch | The Westin, The Reserve Restaurant
Give one last hurrah the laid-back, beach way with a full brunch stocked with champagne, whiskey cocktails, a Bloody Mary bar, and all of your breakfast favorites. Seating is first come, first served. Groups of 6+ should make reservations to ensure same table seating.
Seating Period 1: 12:15-12:45 p.m. arrival; Seating Period 2: 1:30-2:00 p.m. arrival; Seating Period 3: 2:30-3:00 p.m. arrival. Tickets: $70 per person; $65 per person advance tickets available through 1/31/18.


Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife – W3, a culinary event on Jekyll Island, Georgia, blends gourmands with nature and nurture, February 8 -11, 2018. W3 artfully combines legendary beverage tastings and inspired cuisine from some of the South’s best chefs and local culinary superstars, with a chance to experience coastal wildlife up-close. The weekend’s Live and Silent Auctions proceeds (100%) will raise funds and awareness for programs of the Jekyll Island Foundation, with the island’s research and education experts on-hand Friday and Saturday, showcasing some fun, interactive programs with coastal wildlife, from turtles to alligators.
