The ultimate in chef showdowns is coming to Savannah. Eat It and Like It is partnering with the Southern Women’s Show to host the inaugural “Iron Chef Challenge”…Savannah’s first chef competition! On Sunday, February 17, 2013, four local chefs will face off to see whose cuisine reigns supreme!
Savannah’s Iron Chef Challenge will follow the same basic structure as the network show. Each chef will be responsible for cooking and presenting two dishes within a one hour time limit. The dishes must be either an appetizer or entree or two entrees. In addition, these dishes must all contain a secret ingredient that will be revealed the day of the competition. A panel of judges then decides the winner by rating their plates on presentation, originality, and taste. Our panel of judges consists of chefs/restaurant owners in the Savannah area. One of those judges might even be you!
The battle begins at 1:30 on Sunday, February 17th at the Southern Women’s Show to be held at the International Trade and Convention Center.
The winning chef will receive the title of Iron Chef 2013 and a chance to defend this title at next year’s competition.

**To enter drawing to be a judge simply sign up to receive our newsletter. Click here to do that. Winner will be notified by email on Saturday, February 16th at 7:30pm. Winner will be given free admission for them and 1 guest to visit (or return) to the Southern Women’s Show on Sunday, February 17th. The day of the competition. Winner must not any food allergies or medical issues that would prevent them from sampling all of the chef’s offerings during the competition. In the event you are already registered for Eat It and Like It Newsletter, you can still register for the contest in person at the Eat It and Like It booth at the Southern Women’s Show. February 15-16th.
**Winner must be willing to appear in promotional materials and/or on television as a part of being associated with the Chef Challenge.
**Winner will be required to be at Southern Women’s Show on Sunday February 17th from 1:00pm until 3:30pm.
