The highly anticipated opening of Sugo Rossa, the Italian concept from the same group behind Cotton and Rye, is near completion with opening scheduled for Thursday, June 1st.
We got a quick walk-through the renovated space on Monday. It’s located in the Publix Twelve Oaks Shopping Center on Abercorn Street. The space was formerly occupied by Atlanta Bread Company.
The menu has been worked on for weeks now and is just about complete. All pasta will be made in house. The corner of the kitchen sports a shiny new wood burning pizza oven.
The restaurant, with seating for over 150 guests, features a full bar with space for storage of hundreds of bottles of wine. Sugo Rossa will be open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
Brandon Whitestone, Executive Chef at Cotton and Rye, will also carry that title at Sugo Rossa. With Caleb Ayers will be their Chef de Cuisine.
