Downtown Savannah’s sports bar scene just got a shot in the arm.

Savannah Taphouse To Bring New and Inspiring Flavor to Downtown Savannah

New restaurant will  feature award-winning menu and large beer selection in an upscale sports bar atmosphere

Savannah, GA –  Savannah Taphouse is the newest venture for Scott Kier and Ben Roethlisberger, owners of the six King Street Grille restaurants in the greater Charleston and Myrtle Beach Area. Their goal is to bring guests in Savannah a delicious menu in an atmosphere filled with character, flavor and entertainment.

King Street Grille is a premier destination in South Carolina for tasty food, wide selection of beers and spirits and a great sports bar atmosphere. “Savannah is very similar to Charleston, which is where King Street Grille originated,” says Kier. “We saw the need for a concept like ours in the area and we couldn’t be more excited to open.”  The Savannah Taphouse is slated to open middle of December.

Guests can expect a different kind of restaurant going-experience when dining at Savannah Taphouse. The two-story, 5,600 square-foot restaurant, is located in the revitalized historic building formerly home to the Avon Theatre. Savannah Taphouse will provide guests with an upscale sports bar experience featuring a huge selection of tap and bottled beer, a made from scratch menu and 28 HDTVs playing all of the best games in sports.

Savannah Taphouse will be open daily from 11am-2am for lunch and dinner. The restaurant’s all-day menu, created by Executive Chef Lawrence Rice, features Build Your Own Chopped Salads, House Made Entrees, Flatbreads, Award-Winning Sandwiches, Burgers and more.  Some highlights of the menu include Southwest Egg Rolls, Chicken Chesapeake Sandwich, Mac & Cheese Burger and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. In addition to traditional dining services, Savannah Taphouse will also offer take-out and catering.

We are chasing down an interview and will have much more when we connect the dots.  They are scheduled to open on December 14th.  In the meantime, check out
