Sean Brock Opens Minero in Charleston

MineroHis name is one of the hottest in Southern Cuisine these days, certainly in Charleston. You ask anyone to mention great chefs in that city and Brock’s is typically the first to come up. His most popular is probably HUSK, to go along with HUSK Nashville, McCrady’s in Charleston, and Chicago Steak and Seafood near Atlanta.

Now he is trying his hand at Mexican cuisine.

Minero is the newest offering from the Beard Award winning chef in Charleston. Its opening was highly anticipated in that city. Friday the doors finally opened. There isn’t a lot press. No huge grand openings or chef appearances. No, the doors are opening and people will flock to Brock’s spot to eat. I’m guessing they’ll Eat It and Like It, as well.

It’s a classic Mexican taqueria with a Southern twist. Burrito with Queso de Oxaca (yes, it’s good), crema, hoppin’ john, avocado, and poblanos. Sounds amazing Just one of the things you’ll find on the menu.

Here is a link to their website. It looks fantastic. Enjoy.

See you on TV.

Jesse
