I enjoyed one of these late night at Sapphire Grill, on Congress Street in Savannah, late night recently. This is a simple spin on it, served with a lavender sprig and/or lemon slice. The lavender was a great addition. As soon as you take a sip, you think, “Oh wow….I could sit on a deck somewhere and drink a pitcher of these.”
Perfectly smooth and perfectly summer. Enjoy!
- 2 oz. lemon vodka
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- Lavender sprig
- 1 tbsp. simple syrup (one part sugar, one part water, boil until dissolved)
- Lavender sprig and/or lemon for garnish
Lightly muddle (mashing of the ingredients) the lavender and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and other ingredients. Shake well. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a lavender sprig and/or lemon slice. You could even serve this with a sugar rim.
