Leopold’s Ice Cream doesn’t need much of an introduction in Savannah. The older crowd grew up on it, the younger crowd is introduced to it about as soon as they are able to put something cold in their mouths. Leopold’s is a 90 plus year tradition in Savannah. Three brothers from Greece opened an ice cream shop, now one of the sons, movie producer Stratton Leopold keeps the legacy going. Their Broughton Street shop is not the original location, but it is a beautiful and inviting space to enjoy the ice cream. The flavors are classic ice cream, but they do offer a wide variety of specialty flavors. It’s the best ice cream in Savannah and maybe the region. 2nd place isn’t even close. Enjoy.
