For the last several years, Savannah’s rock star chocolatier has expanded the reach of his decadent empire. What started as a tiny space in Savannah’s Starland District has evolved into Adam Turoni’s chocolates being carried at some of the region’s finest hotels and specialty shops. So what does a young man do for an encore? One would think open a location in New York City or San Francisco, or a tourist mecca like Orlando or Las Vegas. The answer is none of the above. Chocolat by Adam Turoni has a second location, but it’s less than ten blocks away from his first. On Downtown Savannah’s highly trafficked Bull Street, in the heart of the landmark Historic District.
How are they different? The new space “is an extension of the Chocolat by Adam Turoni experience”, he says. “Where Broughton Street is the dining room of a chocolate maison, where you step into a chocolate banquet in progress, the 2nd location is the library. It encourages you to wander the chocolate aisles. Explore and discover”, Adam says.
Adam also tells me chocolate truffles are filed by alphabetical order in bookcases. They will also offer items found exclusively at this new location like a new Bacon Butter Pecan “Three Little Pigs” shaped like a pig.
I will be visiting with Adam this week and will have much more soon.
See you on TV.
