Brews & Bites to Benefit Skidaway Island State Park

Brews & Bites, Savannah’s newest local food series, is an exciting collaboration between our local brewers and chefs. At the three events, guests will sample small plates matched with different local beers. Brewers and chefs will be on hand to discuss their process and their appreciation of local ingredients. Area experts will also present on the environmental aspects of food production. For example, we can’t have Georgia shrimp without healthy oceans.  Our line-up of brewers and chefs is:

  • October 10: Coastal Empire Beer Company & Thrive Café
  • October 17:  Southbound Brewing Company & Creekside Catering
  • November 7: Moon River Brewing Company & Sandfly BBQ

Many local food organizations will also be represented, and guests will have a chance to learn about many exciting local projects, all while admiring the stunning setting of Savannah’s best kept secret, Skidaway Island State Park. The park’s Interpretive Center will be open for guests to explore the parks’ history from the extinct, 20-foot giant ground sloth to artifacts from 100 years ago. The Center also features a live reptile room and bird watching area.

The series is a park fundraiser and will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm. Tickets are $30 or $25 for Friends of Georgia State Parks Members. Ticket price includes the parking pass. Tickets available at
