Big Changes Coming To The 2015 Savannah Food & Wine Festival

The Savannah Food and Wine Festival has seen its fair share of growth in the two years the event has been held. With growth comes change, good change, good growth and a great indicator of future events and the area’s developing food scene. Festival organizers have announced that its signature event, “Taste of Savananh”, has been moved to the Georgia Railroad Museum (The Roundhouse) and they are introducing a new presenting sponsor, Publix Super Markets.

Publix“We are thrilled to announce Publix as our presenting sponsor”, said Festival President Michael Owens. “Publix is a fantastic partner to the festival, offering partnership opportunities to share in their standards for their highest quality and customer service”, he added.

The agreement is said to be “long term” indicating it would be more than a one year partnership.

The move to The Georgia Railroad Museum was expected. The 2014 event in Ellis Square proved to be tough to manage. Logistics and operations were very difficult to navigate. A new venue with indoor/outdoor facilities and most importantly, controlled access, paramount.

“Taste of Savannah’s new home offers unlimited potential for an improved guest experience with its expansive indoor and outdoor facilities”, said Owens. “The historic location is a beautiful backdrop for Taste of Savannah.”
