AJ’s Dockside

AJ’s is legendary out on Tybee Island. Most popular with the locals, in the summer it is overrun with tourists. At dinner time, you are going to wait for a table. How busy does it get in peak season? A kitchen staffer once upon a time told me once the lunch rush hits, he’s unlikely to see the sun for the rest of the day. Maybe a 5 minute break outside in the evenings. That’s production. The food is good. The views are tough to beat anywhere in town. We love their fried shrimp, but their other seafood dishes are good as well. Nothing fancy or gourmet at AJ’s.
