On the Third Day of Christmas…

Adam Turoni is without question Savannah’s premiere chocolate maker.  His hard work over the last few years have not only helped his business boom, but helped him expand outside of the city.  Adam tells us he recently filled an order and only found out much later that it was sent to actor Will Ferrell.  Further proof that Savannah is becoming even more recognized as a destination with great eats!  Here’s his recipe for hot chocolate.  Treat yourself this holiday season and indulge the high end ingredients.  Yes, it will be that good.

Simply Dark Hot Chocolate


  • 3.5 Ounces Dark Chocolate (see note below)
  • 5 ounces Heavy Cream
  • Nutmeg -Freshly Ground
  • Cinnamon – 2 pinches
  • Himalayan Sea Salt – To Taste


We recommend using a higher percentage chocolate…..Anything above 68%. I advise a higher end chocolate like Ghiradelli or our 72% dark chocolate jarred chips (Chocolate by Adam Turoni).  It’s a higher quality manufacturer than you can find in your local grocery store.  Please refrain from using Nestles or Hershey due to viscocity.  Place chocolate chips in a medium bowl.  In a saucepot place cream and water.  Heat the cream mixture on medium heat and pull off of the stove just before the mixture comes to a boil.  Pour hot cream over chocolate pieces and stir with a whisk.  Mix until thoroughly combined.  Add as much fresh nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt to taste.  Whisk until frothy and serve!
